Full Time Positions, based in San Francisco, CA:

Senior PHP Engineer

Responsibilities : Successful candidates will design solutions to satisfy core business requirements on MEVIO's Web properties --- including MEVIO.com, musicalley.com and podcastalley.com --- and associated backend systems.

Qualifications, Education and Experience:

      Required:

• 5 years experience developing Web applications
• Expert in PHP and MySQL
• Working knowledge of entire product lifecycle from scoping to maintenance
• Good writing and communication skills  
• Experience with high volume traffic and large databases
• Comfortable with Unix command line tools and shell scripting
• B.Sc. degree in computer science or related field

    

Desired:

• M.Sc an advantage
• Experience with adservers and ad operations
• Experience with data warehousing and analytics
• Proficient in Javascript and Ajax
• Experienced consumer of new media

 

 

Internships:   

These positions are based in San Francisco, CA.

Transactional/Direct Marketing Internship

* Assist in the marketing of affiliate codes and urls for transactional ad campaigns

*Grass roots marketing

*Strong knowledge of social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter, MySpace & other niche communities

* Research competitive affiliate landscape

* Working knowledge of blogging or social marketing a plus

*Strong oral and written communication skills

*Ability to work independently, have a mature level of responsibility and accountability

*Sense of humor, “can do” attitude a plus

 

  Publishing/SEO Internship

*Working with SEO team to continually optimize site and increase traffic

* Monitor affiliate activity to ensure all are in compliance with campaign requirements

* Working knowledge of blogging or social marketing a plus

* Strong oral and written communication skills.

* Ability to work independently, have a mature level of responsibility and accountability

* Sense of humor, “can do” attitude a plus

 

Accounting Clerk (Part time, flexible hours)

 

Mevio is seeking an Accounting Clerk to work with the Finance team.   Responsibilities will include Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including entering invoices in Quickbooks and check run preparation; fixed assets; clerical responsibilities; and other ad hoc accounting responsibilities.

 

Qualifications :

 

o         1 – 2 years experience with accounting tasks (AP and Fixed Assets)

o         Experience working as part of an accounting team is preferred

o         Prefer someone with an Accounting or Finance degree, or working toward a degree

 

SkillsRequirements :

o         Knowledge of Quickbooks and Excel

o         Outstanding organization skills and great attention to detail

o         Strong work ethic and commitment to accuracy

o         Good time management practices, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, ability to multi-task

 

This opportunity is well suited for an individual seeking experience across all facets of an accounting organization.   We are seeking someone who is proactive and can work independently when needed.   We offer a highly flexible work schedule, but also require someone who is responsible and able to commit to working extra hours if there is a deadline or a task to complete (for example, month end close).
